1. What role did you play in the creation of the letter?
I was in the first chunk group. I incorporated some ideas for embedding and commentary. I saw minor mistakes and made sure to point them out. I also helped to make the first chunk to flow better. As well, I attempted to remind the group the main focus of our chunk so that we didn't try off topic to much.
2. What did you learn about your society's focus? Anything new? Anything that might help you understand the true importance of your society's goal? Or, did you realize the opposite?
I learned that although it may seem easy to convince people that communication is the basis of our government, its is actually a very difficult task. I still have not fully accepted the idea of our government being centered around communication because it is such a broad topic and even educating people on the matter won't necessarily resolve our communicable problems. Our goal is still up in the air and we need to sort of cement it down a little bit better. By taking on this option for the society we have to work very hard to make sure our communication skills are prime otherwise we would be contradicting our goal.
3. Why will your audience agree with your letter? What are your strongest CDs or elements of writing?
Our audience should agree because it is pretty obvious that communication is needed everywhere. As our society develops into a more technological age our communication skills are dwindling. Even with the US government and its citizens there is a slight controversy because of a lack of communication. Our strongest CD was probably the quote about the 2 percent of people not being educated. My reason is, it has a fact and uses logos and there is not an easy way to go against those kinds of statements. On the other hand our commentary for that CD could have bee stronger.
